Short Film: Heimdalsväg 13

What started as an evening helping out a friend with some video footage turned into a Project that won “Best Documentary” during the Sveriges Kortfilmfestival 2024. This short film is about Kennys´ childhood and growing up in Norsborg. Much can be said but watch the video and for those English speakers, the English lyrics are down below.

The million program -76
The high concrete houses
Heimdalsvägen 13
Two flights of stairs and a balcony
We looked out over the courtyards
The junkies and the fools

The mother worked at Domus
The father worked on the roofs
Seven people in a three-bedroom apartment
Last out a love child
Cracked my forehead mostly at play
Blood gushing everyone screamed

Ref
I went back there today
But none of what I missed still remains
Ilhan, Flamman, Mogge, Putte, Lee
New Year's Eve when Jugge pulled a knife

line 13 end station
The working class found a home
The gangs down at the mall
Dreaming of a real life
Because we had the painter kings/graffiti kings
The alcoholics and the kids

White House corridors
That's where we were afraid to be
Looking down from Eriksberg
On a cemented grave
The green subway passages
All the nights in the tunnels

Ref
I went back there today
But some places have to be left alone
Oche, Jocke, Johnny, Rogge, Kjell
Did you hear that Mårten died tonight?!

(Guitar solo)

Ref
I went back there today
To the cemetery where Dad is buried
I have my place there waiting for me then
And when the light shines for me, I will move home...again
